Product Description:

The MS2N10-D1BNA-AMBG2-NNANN-NN is a servo motor with a holding brake. Several other standard and optional features are also available on the motor. The motor designer and manufacturer is Bosch Rexroth. MS2N motors belong to the synchronous motor category. The speed of these motors is synchronized to the frequency of input AC power. Operators must deploy these motors with a Bosch servo drive, which, in addition to supplying power, also controls the holding brake. The brake installed on the MS2N10-D1BNA-AMBG2- NNANN-NN motor operates according to the principle of electrically-actuated release: it prevents shaft rotation until it receives a 24 Volts DC release signal from the drive. After receiving the release signal, the brake can take up to 220 ms to release the shaft. The brake’s maximum connection time is 70 ms. Holding brakes prevent shaft rotation when the motor is disconnected from power and must not be used as service brakes.

During operation the brake draws 1 Amp current and its holding torque is 53 Nm. Mechanical specifications for the smooth motor shaft include 38 mm diameter and 80 mm length. A sealing ring on the shaft improves the motor’s protection rating to IP65. With this rating, this dust-proof motor can be safely operated in areas where it may be exposed to low-pressure jets of water. For effective heat dissipation a cooling fan is installed on the motor. Its power supply requirement is 230 Volts. Fans rated for 115 Volts are also available. MS2N10-D1BNA-AMBG2-NNANN-NN is a motor rated for 3000 RPM. A multiturn encoder provides real-time feedback. There are two connections on the housing: the M17 connector can be rotated, while the M58 connector is fixed.
