The MS2N10-D1BNA-AMBG2-NNANN-NN is a servo motor with a holding brake. Several other standard and optional features are also available on the motor. The motor designer and manufacturer is Bosch Rexroth. MS2N motors belong to the synchronous motor category. The speed of these motors is synchronized to the frequency of input AC power. Operators must deploy these motors with a Bosch servo drive, which, in addition to supplying power, also controls the holding brake. The brake installed on the MS2N10-D1BNA-AMBG2- NNANN-NN motor operates according to the principle of electrically-actuated release: it prevents shaft rotation until it receives a 24 Volts DC release signal from the drive. After receiving the release signal, the brake can take up to 220 ms to release the shaft. The brake’s maximum connection time is 70 ms.
