Product Description:

The MS2N05-D0BHN-CMSH1-NNNNE-NN is a servo motor. It is designed by Bosch Rexroth for industrial applications. A type plate lists relevant motor product data to help installers identify and use it. The motor surface temperature can exceed 60 degrees Celsius. Therefore, the motor should be given sufficient time so that it cools down. Cooling down of the motor can take more than 2 hours. It is critical to ensure that specified axial and radial load limits for the shaft are not exceeded. The motor has a 98 millimeter flange for mounting. Each mounting hole on the flange has a diameter of 9 millimeters. Its shaft diameter is 19 millimeters and the length of the shaft is 40 millimeters. An integrated temperature sensor is installed on the motor. In addition, a motor temperature model runs on the servo drive. Together, these two mechanisms work to protect the motor from thermal overload.

For nominal performance, ambient temperature of air surrounding the motor should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius. Bosch does permit motor use at temperatures up to 60 degrees Celsius. However, at these higher temperatures, the motor output will derate. Cooling method for which the motor is designed is self-cooling. An optional electrically-released holding brake is installed on the motor. Holding torque of this brake is 10 Nm. The brake is designed to operate at 24 Volts DC. The presence and addition of the brake increases the motor mass to 8.4 kilograms. One cable carries both power and feedback. This cable connects to an M23 connector. There is no sealing ring on the smooth motor shaft. The integrated encoder is a high-performance multiturn absolute device with 20-bit resolution.
