Product Description:

MS2N10-E0BHA-BMAH3-NNNNN-NN is a high-speed AC servo motor. It gets AC power from a Bosch Rexroth motor controller. The controller supplies AC with variable frequency to control the motor speed. It produces variable AC by performing a double-conversion operation on the AC mains: rectifying the input AC to obtain intermediate DC, and then using PWM controlled inversion to produce AC with variable parameters. In addition, the controller monitors motor winding temperature, and shuts off power to the motor if the temperature exceeds a predefined threshold. This is important for protecting the motor from overloads that can damage or destroy it. The controller also controls the motor holding brake. A 24 Volts DC control signal from the controller acts as the release signal for the brake, which allows the motor shaft to rotate.

The electrically-released brake installed on the MS2N10-E0BHA-BMAH3-NNNNN-NN motor has 90 Nm holding torque, draws 1.5 Amps, and has 65 milliseconds peak connection time and 250 milliseconds peak disconnection time. The brake prevents motor movement when power to the unit is disconnected. It is not meant for use a service break. Voltage supply rating of the motor’s axial fan is 230 Volts. The plain motor shaft is equipped with a seal that improves protection category of the motor unit to IP65. Real-time digital feedback is provided by an integrated multiturn encoder. There are separate connections for power and feedback. The motor must be operated by trained personnel. Optimal ambient conditions for the motor include maximum 1000 meters altitude and up to 40 ⁰C temperature.
