Product Description:

The MS2N04-C0BTN-HMDG1-NNNNN-NN from Rexroth Indramat is part of their MS2N series of synchronous servo motors that are very compact and lightweight. This particular model comes with an ACURO Link digital communication interface to transmit and receive data from the motor control module as the motor transmits data of the encoder to the control module, transmitting the position values along with the current temperature of the coil. The SIL 3 rating allows the ACURO Link to operate robustly by transmitting temperature values to the motor controller. For temperatures above 145 degrees Celsius, the servo motor will disconnect itself from the supply unit to ensure its own safety.

Speaking of safety, this 13 Nm servo motor comes with an IP 65 protection rating that helps protect this servo motor against dust and moisture when installed in an open area especially when used in an industrial plant where this motor is bound to get dusty and wet. To ensure this servo motor does not get too hot, the MS2N04-C0BTN-HMDG1-NNNNN-NN relies on the natural convection cooling method and hence requires a fully ventilated area to help keep this servo motor cool during high-speed operation.

This motor comes with a 4096-revolution multiturn encoder for precise mapping of the shaft positioning helping increase the accuracy of this motor making it a great candidate for robotics applications.
