A type plate attached to the motor lists information including the type code, serial number and production date. It is also lists motor specifications, including the torque, power and current ratings. This information should be checked at the time of delivery. Any motor found damaged should not be installed. MS2N Synchronous Servo Motors require 0 to 40 degrees Celsius temperature and site elevations below 1000 meters for optimal performance. Even though derated operation is allowed, it should be avoided to prevent equipment damage and performance degradations. MS2N motors use permanent magnets for reliability and superior performance. Multiple cooling methods are available, and operators can choose the method that suits application requirements. A varnish is applied to the housing for protection against environmental contaminants.

Thermal class of the motor is F in compliance with EN 60034. Four encoder options are available, including capacitive, optical, high-performance 24-bit optical encoders.
