Product Description:

The MS2N04-C0BTN-HMSG1-NNNNE-NN is a 13.05 Nm servo motor that comes with a 5 Nm holding brake. The holding brake on this motor is responsible for locking the shaft of the motor when needed to stop at a particular position. In the case of power loss, the holding brake will remain active and has a release delay of 30 ms. This holding brake is electrically engaged and requires around 24 volts DC to function with 0.63 Amperes of current draw.

This servo motor is perfect for robotics, manufacturing, and drilling applications thanks to its low inertia of 0.00016 kgm² and a high-speed rating of 6000 rotations per minute that make this servo motor a great choice. This motor only weighs around 4 kg even with the braking module attached, making it a great choice for most applications for which the offered torque would suffice. The way this encoder works is that whenever a segment is detected by this encoder, a square wave pulse of 5 volts is generated by it as a feedback signal, which is then transmitted to the motor controller to calculate the current position of the shaft. The encoder relies on ACURO Link interface that helps transmit the position values of the encoder along with the internal temperature of the motor using a thermistor. The temperature readings help with safe operation of this servo motor.
