The HDS Drive Controllers are modular controllers in the DIAX04 family delivered as configured units built from a basic unit plus a command communication module, an HSM software module, optional plug-in modules, and a configuration type plate.
The command communication module provides the interface to the control (SERCOS or analog), and the HSM module holds the drive firmware and stored parameters so the setup can be restored by moving the module to a replacement controller. The platform supports add-on modules for functions like PLC-style digital I/O expansion and multiple feedback/measuring-system interface options, with certain feedback card types intended to be used one at a time rather than combined. Across the series, controllers are offered in multiple rated-current classes (40 A up to 300 A) with internal air cooling via a built-in blower. They are intended for single- or multi-axis applications and are commonly used in handling/mounting systems, packaging and food processing machines, printing/paper processing machines, and machine tools, with cabinet installation consistent with an IP10 protection category.
