The HDS02.2-W040N-HS56-01-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and positioned within the HDS Drive Controllers series. It supplies regulated power and motion commands to compatible servo modules, forming the axis control layer in automated machinery. Within an industrial cell, the unit links motion commands from a higher-level PLC to the power stage that actuates motors, allowing coordinated multi-axis movement. This arrangement supports controlled torque and speed response on connected servo axes during normal machine operation.

At the communication level, the controller exchanges cyclic setpoints and diagnostics over the SERCOS fiber-optic bus, which synchronizes multiple axes inside the DIAX04 family.
