The HDS02.2-W040N-HS60-01-FW is a single-axis drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDS Drive Controllers series. It mounts in a DIAX04 modular rack and receives motion commands from a central control system over a fiber-optic link. Inside the unit, those commands are converted into regulated output current for servo and spindle motors, which supports coordinated motion in machine tools, packaging systems, and material-handling equipment. As a single-axis unit, it controls one motor channel while the higher-level controller manages overall machine synchronization. Communication is handled through the optical SERCOS interface, which provides deterministic data exchange between the controller and the drive.

The drive can supply a continuous output current of 40 A without derating under normal operating conditions. Heat is removed by a built-in air blower, so the controller does not depend on a separate external cabinet fan for its own cooling. This helps keep thermal load under control during sustained operation. The housing is rated IP10, which means it should be installed in an enclosed panel to limit accidental contact with internal sections. For storage and transport, the electronics can withstand temperatures from -30 to +85 °C without damage.
