Product Description:
The HDS04.2-W200N-HS70-01-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Installed in modular drive racks, it provides closed-loop control for servo axes used in packaging, printing, and material-handling equipment. The unit converts motion commands into regulated current and voltage patterns so connected motors can follow commanded speed and position profiles with repeatable accuracy. This operating role makes it suitable for axes that must start, stop, and change speed in a controlled way during automated production cycles.
The controller exchanges real-time setpoints and status data over the SERCOS fiber-optic bus, allowing multiple axes to remain synchronized with very low timing error. A continuous output capability of 200 A lets the power stage support large dynamic loads without thermal derating under normal cabinet conditions. Heat from the switching section is removed by a built-in internal air blower, so no external ducting is required inside the enclosure. As part of the DIAX04 platform, the unit uses the same backplane approach as companion modules in the rack. The designation Line 04 identifies its design line and places it within the corresponding module group.
The unit is Version 2. It is classified as an HDS Drive Controller and fits into the HDS Drive Controllers system as a single rack module. This arrangement allows the controller to work with separate supply and control modules while keeping high-current connections concentrated in the cabinet. Internal current regulation and bus communication support accurate response during acceleration, deceleration, and positioning moves on coordinated axes. The controller is intended for multi-axis automation where consistent timing between the drive and the control system is required, especially when several servo channels must react to command changes at the same time.
