Product Description:
The HDS03.1-W075N-HS37-01-FW drive controller is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the HDS Drive Controllers series. It conditions incoming DC bus power, interprets motion commands, and issues precise current pulses to connected servo motors. In an industrial automation line, it serves as the central axis regulator, receiving setpoints from a higher-level control system and closing local velocity and position loops so that each motor follows its programmed trajectory. Because these control loops are handled in the controller, the axis can respond quickly to changing loads during acceleration, deceleration, and steady-speed operation.
Command data are exchanged over the SERCOS fiber-optic interface, providing deterministic communication with neighboring drives. The unit belongs to the DIAX04 controller family. Thermal energy is removed by a built-in air blower that directs cabinet air across the heat sink. The power section supplies up to 75 A of continuous output current, supporting medium-to-high torque servo axes. Rated performance is maintained within an ambient range of +5 to +45 °C, so the controller can operate in normal cabinet conditions without current derating. The optical communication link also helps reduce susceptibility to electrical noise in cabinets that contain switching power electronics.
When cabinet temperatures rise above this range, operation can continue up to +55 °C with proportional current reduction. Installations at elevations up to 1000 m above sea level do not require additional cooling allowances. Internal conductors meet the C insulation class in DIN VDE 0110, which supports higher permissible operating temperatures. The housing has an IP 10 protection category, so it must be mounted in a closed panel to reduce exposure to dust and accidental contact. Storage or shipment between -30 and +85 °C is acceptable, and the product is line 03, version 1. This temperature range allows the unit to be transported or stored while it is not energized.
