The HDS05.2-W300N-HS62-01-FW is an HDS Drive Controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the HDS Drive Controllers series. As a Line 05, Version 2 unit, it serves as the power and motion stage that closes current and velocity loops for multiple servo axes in automated machinery. By converting bus commands into controlled armature current, the controller supports dynamic positioning and regulated speed control in modular multi-axis systems. This type of controller is used where precise motor response and coordinated axis movement are required during continuous industrial operation.
Communication uses the SERCOS fiber-optic interface, allowing deterministic motion coordination within the DIAX04 platform. The power section can deliver up to 300 A of continuous motor current, enabling the unit to drive high-torque motors without external amplifiers. Heat is removed by a built-in air blower, which moves cabinet air across the heat sink during operation. The power section uses insulation class C in accordance with DIN VDE 0110. The housing has an IP10 rating, which provides basic contact protection and requires the surrounding enclosure to limit exposure to dust and other contaminants.
The permissible ambient operating range is +5 to +45 °C, and output must be reduced if the temperature rises above that range. The absolute ambient ceiling is +55 °C, so higher temperatures are not suitable for normal use. For storage and transport, the unit can withstand temperatures from -30 to +85 °C without damage to its components when it is not operating. Continuous operation is allowed up to 1000 m above sea level, where air density remains sufficient for the cooling method used in the controller. Operation outside these temperature and altitude limits can reduce cooling performance and available output.
