The HDS03.2-W100N-HS70-01-FW is a modular drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. In a multi-axis automation rack, it handles closed-loop motor control by receiving setpoints from a higher-level motion controller or PLC and issuing regulated current to the attached servo power stage. The modular format lets it work with matching supply and communication components used in factory machinery. Because control tasks are separated from the supply and interface modules, the unit fits cabinet-based systems that group several axes in one rack. This supports coordinated axis operation where repeatable speed and position control are required.
The controller exchanges real-time data with the master via a SERCOS fiber-optic interface, allowing deterministic telegram timing for synchronized motion. Deterministic communication helps the axes stay synchronized during interpolation, indexing, and other coordinated motion tasks. It is part of the DIAX04 family, so backplane connections and module coordination follow the same platform structure. Thermal energy is removed by a built-in air blower, which pulls air through the heat sink fins and supports stable operation in enclosed cabinets.
