This allows connected motors to follow speed, torque, and positioning commands in assembly systems, packaging equipment, and material-handling machines. The unit is intended for coordinated automation tasks where several axes share a common drive platform and central control structure.
Communication with higher-level control equipment takes place over SERCOS, which allows deterministic exchange of command and status data through the rack system.
