The HDS03.2-W100N-HT14-01-FW is a modular drive controller developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDS Drive Controllers series. Housed in a multi-axis rack, it converts velocity and position commands from a motion computer into regulated motor currents, enabling coordinated movement of tooling, conveyors, and robotic joints inside automated machinery. By combining power electronics and control logic in one enclosure, it supports compact axis layouts and consistent closed-loop motion. That arrangement also lets a central control system coordinate several axes through shared rack components instead of requiring a separate controller at each motor.
For digital command exchange, the controller uses the SERCOS fiber-optic interface, which provides synchronized communication with motion processors. It belongs to the DIAX04 family, so it mounts on a common backplane together with supply and I/O modules. Thermal management relies on a built-in air blower that circulates cabinet air through the heat sink, removing the need for external fans. The device is part of Line 03. Its power stage supplies a continuous output of 100 A, allowing the unit to drive high-torque servomotors on demanding axes such as presses or gantry drives without current derating.
