The HDS03.2-W100N-HS23-01-FW drive controller is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as a member of the HDS Drive Controllers series. It serves as the power and control stage for DIAX04 servo axes, translating motion commands into regulated current for industrial automation tasks such as packaging, printing, and material handling. It combines command processing, power electronics, and diagnostic indicators in a single chassis. In automated lines, it regulates motor current so axes can respond predictably to changing speed and torque demands. This arrangement supports synchronized multi-axis operation and helps keep cabinet layouts compact.

Command exchange with higher-level PLCs is handled through the SERCOS fiber-optic interface, allowing synchronous setpoint updates and standardized parameter handling. The fiber-optic link also supports consistent cyclic communication between the controller and the higher-level motion system. The controller can deliver up to 100 A of continuous output current, which suits medium-to-large synchronous or induction motors without external boosters.
