Bosch Rexroth Indramat supplies the HDS02.2-W040N-HS92-01-FW, a drive controller in the HDS Drive Controllers series of the DIAX04 family. The unit converts digital motion commands into regulated three-phase output for servo axes, allowing a machine to control speed, torque, and position with consistent response. In automated equipment, it links the main PLC or motion controller to the drive system and supports coordinated functions such as indexing, velocity regulation, and synchronized axis movement. This makes it suitable for packaging lines, transfer systems, and material-handling equipment where multiple axes must respond together during continuous production.

Electrical performance includes a continuous output of 40 A, which allows the controller to supply the current required by connected servo drives during normal operation. This current capacity supports demanding acceleration phases as well as steady-state axis control on properly matched systems. Communication with the motion system is handled through the SERCOS fiber-optic interface, providing deterministic data exchange for coordinated control and good resistance to electrical noise inside machine cabinets. Thermal management uses a built-in air blower that moves cabinet air across the heat sink channels, so no external cooler is required. The enclosure has a protection rating of IP10 and should be installed inside a clean electrical cabinet. The controller operates in ambient temperatures from +5 to +45 °C. When ambient temperature rises to +55 °C, the continuous current must be derated to limit thermal load on internal components. Installation is permitted at elevations up to 1000 m above sea level because reduced air density can lower cooling effectiveness. During transport or storage, the electronics can withstand temperatures from -30 to +85 °C without damage to internal materials such as capacitors or soldered connections.
