The HDS04.1-W200N-HS62-01-FW is a modular drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HDS Drive Controllers series. As a slot-in unit for multi-axis racks, it coordinates torque, velocity, and position loops in servo-based machining centers and material-handling cells. In an automation system, it interfaces with a higher-level motion CPU and routes regulated DC bus energy to the attached motor, enabling closed-loop axis control without discrete contactors. Because it operates from the shared rack supply, the module supports compact cabinet layouts in systems with several controlled axes. This arrangement lets the central controller issue motion commands while the drive closes local axis loops near the power stage.

Communication with the motion network is handled through the SERCOS optical ring, which transmits setpoints and feedback to the drive in real time.
