The HDS03.2-W075N-HS79-01-FW is a modular axis drive controller in the HDS Drive Controllers series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Within a multi-axis rack, it provides the closed-loop power stage for one servo or spindle axis. The controller receives digital setpoint data from the automation PLC and regulates motor current and velocity so coordinated motion can be maintained in machine tools, handling robots, and packaging stations. Each axis can therefore be controlled independently while still operating as part of a coordinated multi-axis system. Its modular format also fits into a shared drive assembly where power distribution and axis control are separated across the rack.

The controller exchanges commands and feedback over the SERCOS fiber-optic ring, which supports deterministic communication with cycle times below 1 ms. A continuous axis current of 75 A is available, and this is the maximum RMS motor phase current the unit can supply without thermal derating. Heat is removed by a built-in air blower, so external panel ventilation is not required for the drive itself. The product is part of the DIAX04 family, so it uses the same command structure and diagnostics as other modules in that platform. It is also part of Line 03 in the series.

The unit is released as Version 2. As an HDS Drive Controller, it connects directly with HMS power supplies and HVE capacitor modules through the common bus bars of a drive rack. This arrangement supports shared DC-bus operation and keeps the axis module aligned with the standard mechanical layout used in the system. Its current class places it in the mid-range output segment of the platform, which suits medium-power servo and spindle axes where a larger frame is not necessary. The common rack format also keeps electrical connections short between the supply, capacitor, and axis sections.
