The HDS02.2-W040N-HA04-01-FW is a drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDS Drive Controllers series. Within the DIAX04 controller family, it is part of line 02 and version 2. The module links a central motion processor to individual servo axes and supplies regulated motor output for machinery that requires accurate torque and speed control. It is used where a supervisory controller sends motion references and the drive must convert them into controlled electrical output for a connected motor.

This controller exchanges setpoints through an analog command interface, allowing proportional reference signals from legacy PLC hardware or other control equipment. This arrangement suits systems that already use analog reference wiring rather than a digital network for axis commands. Continuous output capability reaches 40 A, which is the maximum rated motor current the unit can deliver during normal operation without thermal overload. Its normal operating ambient temperature range is +5 to +45 °C, and operation is permitted with reduced load up to +55 °C. During storage or transportation, the electronics tolerate -30 to +85 °C. The storage range applies only when the unit is not operating, and the reduced-load requirement above the normal ambient range helps limit thermal stress in the power section.
