Product Description:
The HDS04.2-W200N-HA08-01-FW is a modular drive controller developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDS Drive Controllers series. Installed in a multi-axis rack, it receives motion commands from a PLC or CNC and directs regulated power to the servo axis components installed beside it. The unit is intended for closed-loop control of torque, speed, and position in applications such as pick-and-place systems, packaging machines, and handling equipment. By managing these motion functions inside the rack, it helps the machine follow programmed movement during acceleration, deceleration, and synchronized transfer steps.
Command signals are handled through an analog interface, so the controller can process continuous ±10 V references without additional bus conversion hardware. This input method suits systems that already use analog command sources and need direct signal handling. The unit is used in the DIAX04 platform, where matching backplane connections support integration with other rack modules. Thermal management is provided by a built-in air blower that moves cabinet air across the heat sink. The power section supports a continuous output of 200 A for high-demand servo operation, and the unit is in Line 04. That output level supports large motors during rapid acceleration and frequent load changes.
As an HDS Drive Controller, the module is mounted beside the supply unit in the rack and acts as the regulation stage for the connected axis. The drive is Version 2, and its onboard diagnostics report operating conditions such as fan status and current demand in real time. This allows operating data to be viewed directly during normal machine use without adding separate diagnostic devices. Its position next to the supply module also supports an orderly rack layout and short internal connections between related drive components.
