The HDS01.1-W015-R is a digital drive controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the HDS Drive Controllers series. It forms the power interface between a supply module and an Indramat servo or main spindle motor, regulating current and velocity loops in automated machinery such as printing lines and material-handling axes. By accepting commands from a higher-level motion control system, it converts them into pulse-width-modulated output so the connected motor can follow the requested torque or speed profile. This allows the controller to support repeatable motion where stable speed response and controlled torque delivery are required.
Thermal management is provided by a built-in air blower, which moves cabinet air through the housing to remove heat without external ducts. Operation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level. Electrical insulation follows Class C to DIN VDE 0110, and the enclosure has an IP 10 rating that helps prevent accidental contact with live parts while still requiring installation inside a control cabinet. Continuous duty is allowed in ambient temperatures from +5 to +45 °C, which suits typical indoor industrial conditions. Because the enclosure is intended for protected mounting, the controller is used in cabinets rather than on exposed machine surfaces.
If cabinet temperature rises above the nominal range, the controller may still operate up to +55 °C, but the output current must be derated to limit internal heat. During transport or storage, it tolerates temperatures from -30 to +85 °C. The unit is Version 1, and its HDS platform layout keeps signal connectors and mounting dimensions consistent with the established series format. This layout supports orderly installation alongside matching supply modules and compatible motor connections in multi-axis control cabinets.
