Product Description:
The HDS05.2-W300N-HS23-01-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. The unit mounts in a modular rack and delivers regulated three-phase power to industrial servo axes, allowing accurate control of motor speed and torque during continuously changing load conditions. Serving as the interface between a shared DC bus supply and the connected motors, it handles coordinated acceleration, controlled deceleration, and position-holding duties in applications such as machining centers, material-handling gantries, and forming equipment. This arrangement lets one supply section feed multiple axes while the controller meters power to each connected motor as commanded by the control system.
The power section belongs to the DIAX04 family, so its backplane connectors align electrically and mechanically with other modules that share the same rack. Motion commands are exchanged over the SERCOS fiber-optic interface at 2 kHz, which allows cyclic communication between the master control and the drive without separate copper command wiring. Continuous motor current is limited to 300 A, which is the maximum RMS phase current the internal IGBT bridge can supply during continuous operation. Heat is removed by a built-in air blower, so no external ducting is required and internal temperatures remain within allowable limits.
The unit is classified as an HDS Drive Controller. Standardized bus bars and an established cooling path let it operate alongside adjacent rack modules in multi-axis systems, while the modular layout keeps power distribution and signal routing within the same platform. That rack-based arrangement preserves the electrical and mechanical fit expected for this platform and keeps the controller within the intended rack format. The product is part of Line 05 and is Version 2, which identifies the design line and revision used for this controller.
