Product Description:
The HDS03.1-W075N-HS08-01-FW is a multi-axis drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDS Drive Controllers series. Insulation class C in accordance with DIN VDE 0110 supports elevated internal temperatures inside the power section and control electronics. The unit distributes current and velocity commands to paired servo inverters over fiber-optic links, allowing precise torque and speed regulation in packaging, printing, and metalworking equipment. In multi-axis machinery, it serves as the control and power stage for servo axes that must follow synchronized motion profiles under changing load conditions.
Command data enter the device over the SERCOS interface, enabling deterministic timing between the controller and higher-level motion processors. The power stage can deliver up to 75 A of continuous output, so compatible servo motors can accelerate quickly without waveform distortion. A built-in air blower moves cooling air across the heat-sink fins, providing forced internal airflow without external ducting. The housing has an IP10 rating, which limits access by large solid objects but does not provide water protection, so the unit must be installed inside a cabinet. Reliable operation is permitted in ambient temperatures from +5 to +45 °C, and the drive can operate in that range without current derating.
When the unit is not operating, it can withstand storage or transport temperatures from −30 to +85 °C without damage to electronic components. If cabinet air rises above +55 °C, the output stage must be derated according to the published curve for this model. Performance data remain valid at installation heights up to 1000 m above sea level, which suits most factory floors and elevated machine platforms. As part of the DIAX04 family, the controller uses the mechanical dimensions and bus connector arrangement common to that platform. This layout supports consistent integration with other modules used in the same drive system.
