The HDS02.2-W040N-HA21-01-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied as part of the HDS Drive Controllers series. Within an automated cell, it delivers regulated DC-bus power to servo and spindle modules as part of the DIAX04 modular motion family. As a stand-alone unit, it receives directional commands from a numerical control, modulates current, and coordinates axis dynamics in assembly lines, machine tools, and material-handling installations. This arrangement lets the controller serve as the power and regulation stage for a single axis while the higher-level control system manages coordinated motion.

Line designation 02 and design version 2 place the controller among second-generation units that follow the mounting pattern used in DIAX04 racks. It exchanges setpoints through an analog command interface, allowing direct ±10 V velocity or torque references from a master drive. That interface suits systems that generate direct reference voltages instead of using a digital fieldbus. Equipment may be staged or warehoused between -30 to +85 °C without condensation, which supports storage and transport before installation.
