The HDS03.1-W100N-HA24-01-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HDS Drive Controllers series. In a multi-axis DIAX04 cabinet, this unit provides closed-loop control for synchronous and induction motor modules, allowing coordinated motion in automated machinery and material-handling cells. The drive processes command and feedback signals internally so speed and torque remain stable as machine loads change during operation. It is part of Line 03 of the platform and is delivered in Version 1.

The controller exchanges velocity or torque references through an analog command interface, so legacy PLCs can deliver ±10 V setpoints without fieldbus converters. Thermal control is handled by a built-in air blower that draws cabinet air through the heat sink to remove waste heat from the IGBT bridge. The controller can deliver up to 100 A of continuous output current. Its housing has a protection rating of IP 10 per DIN 40 050, which provides protection against accidental finger contact but not against dust or liquids, so the unit must be installed in an enclosed electrical cabinet. Reliable operation is specified for an ambient range of +5 to +45 °C, and no performance derating is required within that range.

When the surrounding air temperature rises, the controller can continue operating up to +55 °C if the current is derated. During storage or transport, internal components can withstand temperatures from -30 to +85 °C without damage to insulation materials. Installations at elevations up to 1000 m above sea level maintain the intended cooling performance and dielectric clearances, while higher elevations can reduce the effectiveness of air cooling. The unit also meets C per DIN VDE 0110, which supports the creepage distances required for industrial switchgear.
