The HDS01.1-W015-D is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDS Drive Controllers series. It interfaces with Indramat power modules and servo modules to govern torque, speed, and position loops in multi-axis automation lines. Inside a control cabinet, the unit converts command signals from higher-level motion processors into regulated output current for synchronous and induction motors. This role makes it suitable for coordinated motion in material-handling equipment, transfer systems, and machining cells where several axes must respond in step.

Thermal management relies on a built-in air blower that circulates air across the power electronics, so no external ducting is needed. Continuous operation is permitted up to an installation altitude of 1000 m; above that height, thinner air reduces cooling capacity and the available current must be limited. The insulation system uses a C insulation class according to DIN VDE 0110, which supports high thermal tolerance in the winding and busbar area. The ambient operating window is +5 to +45 °C, and full-rated current is available within that range while the controller is energized. The enclosure has a rating of IP 10, which provides finger-safe openings but no water protection, so the unit should be installed inside a closed cabinet.

When cabinet temperature rises, current must be reduced once the environment exceeds +55 °C; this is the start of derated operation that protects the semiconductors from thermal overload. For storage and transport, the electronics can withstand temperatures from -30 to +85 °C and can return to normal operation after they reach the approved operating range again. The controller is Version 1, which identifies the design revision of the unit. This revision marking helps distinguish the controller within the product range without changing its basic function as a cabinet-mounted drive controller.
