Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the HDS05.2-W300N-HS65-01-FW as a modular drive controller in the HDS Drive Controllers series. The device receives DC bus power from a supply module and closes high-speed current loops for servo axes, so it forms the electrical link between a machine’s motion computer and the motors that move clamps, slides, or rotary tables. In an automated cell, this controller converts commanded torque references into precisely timed phase currents, allowing coordinated multi-axis positioning without mechanical coupling. Because the control stage sits between the supply module and the motor, it can respond quickly to changing load demands during acceleration, deceleration, and holding motion.

Real-time data exchange with higher-level controls is handled through the fiber-optic SERCOS interface, giving the controller deterministic cycle timing and synchronous status reporting. Deterministic communication helps linked axes stay synchronized during interpolation, indexing, and other coordinated motion tasks. The unit belongs to the DIAX04 controller family.
