Product Description:
The HDS02.1-W040N-HA21-01-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and part of the HDS Drive Controllers series. As part of the DIAX04 motion platform, it forms the power and feedback link between the supply unit and the servo motor. It converts supply energy into controlled motor current and processes the feedback needed for closed-loop axis control. In multi-drive automation cells, it is used to coordinate axis motion on packaging, transfer, and material-handling equipment. The module is intended for multi-axis installations where several drives share a common control architecture and power infrastructure.
Command signals reach the controller through an analog interface, so velocity or torque setpoints can be sent by external PLC cards without serial encoding. The unit can deliver a continuous output of 40 A, which suits medium-power servo motors used on packaging or material-handling axes. Its housing has an IP10 rating under DIN 40 050, so it protects against accidental finger contact but does not seal against dust or fluids and must stay inside a closed cabinet. Reliable operation is permitted in ambient temperatures from +5 to +45 °C without current derating. The insulation meets Class C under DIN VDE 0110.
Continuous service is possible up to 1000 m above sea level without derating. A built-in air blower moves cabinet air across the heat sink, so no separate external fan is required for normal cooling. Storage and transportation are permitted from -30 to +85 °C. If the cabinet temperature rises above the normal operating range, the power stage can still run with reduced output up to +55 °C. This temperature range is relevant when several power modules are mounted side by side in a cabinet. The product is part of line 02 and design version 1 in the series.
