The HDS02.1-W040N-HA02-01-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDS Drive Controllers series. Positioned within the DIAX04 controller family, it coordinates a single power section and feedback loop to run servo axes in factory automation cells. The unit converts high-power DC bus energy into regulated three-phase output and accepts torque and velocity references from a higher-level motion card. It is intended for servo applications that require stable current control and direct integration into established DIAX04 system layouts. This makes the controller suitable for assembly lines, handling systems, and other machines that rely on coordinated axis motion.
The controller exchanges setpoints through an analog command interface, allowing it to work with conventional motion cards in retrofit systems and established control layouts. Thermal management relies on a built-in air blower, so cooling air remains inside the cabinet and no external ducting is required. The power electronics can deliver a continuous output current of 40 A. The enclosure has a protection rating of IP 10 per DIN 40 050, which protects against contact with larger solid objects but does not provide moisture protection. Reliable operation is permitted from +5 °C to +45 °C, and installation altitude is limited to 1000 m above sea level before derating is required.
The power stage uses insulation class C as per DIN VDE 0110. This insulation class supports the electrical clearances used within the drive section and suits the thermal demands of the unit. During storage or transport, the controller can withstand temperatures from -30 °C to +85 °C when condensation is avoided. When the unit is energized, operation can extend up to +55 °C if output current is reduced in proportion to the higher ambient temperature. At higher cabinet temperatures, the reduced current requirement helps keep thermal loading within the allowable range.
