The HDS01.1-K015-D is a drive controller card built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDS Drive Controllers series. It serves as an axis module that receives DC-bus power from an HVE or HVR supply unit and delivers regulated current to a connected motor. In automated cells, it closes the speed and torque loops so motion sequences follow the setpoints issued by a higher-level PLC. The card plugs into a cabinet backplane and links to encoder feedback, making it suitable for coordinated multi-axis packaging, material-handling, and printing machinery. Because it operates from a shared supply architecture, it functions as one axis within a larger rack-based drive system.
It is approved for installation heights up to 1000 m above sea level, allowing normal thermal calculations without extra margin. During operation, the electronics maintain rated output within an ambient range of 5 °C to 45 °C. If cabinet air rises further, continuous current must be reduced, but operation is retained up to 55 °C. The controller housing has an IP 10 rating under DIN 40 050, so the rack must provide dust shielding and forced airflow. Internal spacing and insulation materials meet class C requirements under DIN VDE 0110, allowing the high-voltage sections to withstand temperatures above 180 °C without dielectric breakdown.
For long-term warehousing or overseas transport, the module withstands temperatures from -30 °C to 85 °C, which helps protect solder joints and electrolytic capacitors during uncontrolled shipping climates. The unit is released as Version 1. It integrates mechanically and electrically with other modules in the product line, using the same cabinet-based connection approach for motor, resolver, and SERCOS links. This arrangement supports coordinated multi-axis operation while keeping the module suited for enclosed cabinet installation.
