The HDS03.1-W075N-HA40-01-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDS Drive Controllers series. It works within multi-axis systems, supplying pulse-width-modulated power to synchronous or induction motors so closed-loop motion can be executed in industrial automation cells. The unit acts as a modular power stage between the supply section and the motor, converting control commands into regulated current for dynamic axis movement. Paired with a matching supply module, it forms part of a rack that coordinates speed, torque, and position in numerically controlled machinery and handling equipment.
The controller exchanges setpoints through an analog command channel, allowing velocity or torque references from a PLC or motion card. This arrangement supports installations that use analog control signals instead of digital fieldbus commands. Within that loop, it can deliver a continuous output of 75 A, giving headroom for medium-power axes. Thermal management relies on a built-in internal air blower that moves cabinet air across the heat sink, keeping semiconductor temperatures stable across an ambient range of +5 ... +45 °C. With current derating, the device can operate at ambient temperatures up to +55 °C. It is part of the DIAX04 family, so it uses the same control platform as other compatible HDS units.
The housing is rated IP 10 per DIN 40 050, so the controller is intended for installation inside a control cabinet. The insulation system uses insulation class C per DIN VDE 0110, allowing higher internal hot-spot temperatures than Class F hardware. The controller can be operated up to 1000 m above sea level; above this height, additional derating is required. For storage, the electronics tolerate temperatures from -30 ... +85 °C without damage when the unit is not energized. The device is line 03 and version 1.
