The HDS01.1-K100-D is a modular drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and placed within the HDS Drive Controllers series. Engineered to regulate the current loop and velocity loop for connected digital servo drives, it forms the central axis control element in multi-axis Indramat automation racks. By processing setpoint data from a higher-level motion control, the unit supplies precisely timed power pulses to maintain commanded torque and speed in industrial machines such as packaging lines, handling robots, and material-forming equipment. It is intended for coordinated servo applications where stable torque response and speed control are required across multiple axes.

The drive controller delivers a continuous output of 100 A, allowing it to pair with high-torque servo motors without external current boosters. Its housing carries a protection rating of IP 10 according to DIN 40 050, so only vertically falling particles are blocked and the unit must be mounted inside a closed cabinet. Reliable operation is permitted between ambient temperatures of +5 to +45 °C; above this range, derating is required to avoid thermal overload. Heat dissipation and component spacing are intended for installation sites up to 1000 m above sea level, where natural convection cooling remains effective. The enclosure is therefore intended for protected cabinet environments rather than exposed machine mounting surfaces.

For storage or transport, the controller withstands temperatures from -30 to +85 °C, which allows it to be kept in unconditioned storage areas without damage while it is not energized. Internally, the power sections use insulation class C per DIN VDE 0110, which supports the electrical isolation required by the drive hardware under normal operating conditions. If the unit must operate in warmer production areas, it can run at reduced current up to +55 °C. Reduced-current operation limits internal heat buildup when surrounding air temperature rises beyond the normal operating range. The control card is Version 1, matching first-generation supply modules in the same rack system.
