Product Description:
The HDS03.1-W075N-HA09-01-FW is an axis drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDS Drive Controllers series. Designed for the DIAX04 multi-axis platform, it converts incoming DC bus energy into controlled three-phase output that regulates servo motor speed and torque in machining centers, material-handling cells, and other automation stations. In a DIAX04 rack, it works as the power stage for one machine axis and receives command references from upstream control hardware. By regulating output current in real time, the controller supports repeatable motion during positioning, feed, and synchronized transfer tasks.
Command values reach the controller through an analog interface, allowing ±10 V velocity or torque references from legacy control hardware without protocol conversion. This allows the unit to work with existing control systems that were built around analog commands. The power stage is rated for 75 A of continuous motor current, giving adequate headroom for medium-to-large servomotors during acceleration. That current rating supports sustained torque demand without immediately approaching the thermal limit of the output stage. Thermal management relies on a built-in air blower; the fan draws cabinet air across the heat sink so no external ducting is required. The enclosure has a rating of IP10, so it resists accidental finger contact and is intended for installation inside a closed cabinet. Windings and internal wiring use insulation class C in accordance with DIN VDE 0110. For normal operation, the surrounding air must stay between +5 to +45 °C to avoid output derating.
The installation site may be situated up to 1000 m above sea level; beyond this height, air density falls and component temperatures rise. When airflow is unobstructed, the controller can tolerate peaks to +55 °C, although its output current is reduced above the nominal ambient range. During storage or plant shutdowns, it withstands temperatures from -30 to +85 °C, protecting capacitors and control electronics against seasonal extremes. Adequate cabinet airflow and spacing are required when several HDS axes are mounted side by side.
