Product Description:
The HDS04.2-W200N-HT05-01-FW is a modular drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDS Drive Controllers series. It belongs to the DIAX04 controller family and is assigned to Line 04 with Version 2. Its modular format allows it to be installed as part of a larger drive assembly rather than used as a standalone controller. In multi-axis automation racks, it supplies regulated power to servo or spindle drives and supports coordinated motion and torque control over a common DC bus. It is intended for applications that require coordinated axis behavior under centralized motion control.
This controller exchanges setpoints and diagnostics through the SERCOS fiber-optic interface, which supports deterministic communication with a master PLC. This arrangement reduces separate signal wiring inside the cabinet and keeps command exchange consistent during synchronized motion. Thermal management is handled by a built-in air blower, and the integral fan moves cabinet air across the heat sink so no external heat exchanger is required. The power section can continuously deliver a rated current of 200 A to downstream drives. The housing has an IP10 protection rating under DIN 40 050, indicating open-style construction intended for enclosed cabinets rather than exposed machine mounting. Operation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level because reduced air density above that height affects cooling and dielectric strength.
The permissible operating air temperature ranges from +5 to +45 °C, and the output must be derated above that range, with an absolute short-term limit of +55 °C. That operating range supports normal cabinet service in industrial environments when airflow and loading remain within the allowed window. Winding insulation is classified as C according to DIN VDE 0110, which supports higher internal temperatures than Class F or H materials. During storage or transport, the electronics remain stable between -30 to +85 °C, allowing unconditioned warehouse handling and routine shipment between facilities. This range helps protect insulation and electronic components when the unit is moved or stored before installation.
