The HDS02.2-W040N-HA08-01-FW is a drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HDS Drive Controllers series. In multi-axis automation, the unit works as the power and control stage of a DIAX04 system, exchanging command values with the machine control while regulating motor operation. It manages torque, speed, and position control so coordinated axes can follow motion commands accurately in packaging, handling, and processing equipment. This arrangement helps the connected servo axes respond consistently during starting, running, and stopping.

The controller receives setpoint data through an analog interface, which supports integration with legacy PLC outputs and other conventional control sources. This control method is useful where motion commands are issued as continuous reference signals rather than over a digital communications link. It can supply a continuous output of 40 A for medium-power servo motors, and a built-in air blower removes heat from the housing during operation. For transport and storage, the controller can withstand temperatures from -30 to +85 °C, which helps protect the unit during unpowered handling and warehousing. Internal insulation is rated to Class C, allowing higher permissible hot-spot temperatures than lower insulation classes.
