The HDS02.1-W040N-HS80-01-FW is a drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDS Drive Controllers series. As an automation component, this unit supplies regulated power and closed-loop control to servo axes in packaging lines, machine tools, and handling equipment. In servo applications, it serves as the power and control stage between the supply section and the motor, converting bus energy into controlled current for accurate motion. This lets the controller respond to changing load conditions while maintaining commanded axis behavior during acceleration, deceleration, and steady-state motion.

This controller exchanges setpoint and diagnostic data over the SERCOS fiber-optic bus, so axis commands and feedback remain resistant to electrical noise. It is part of the DIAX04 family and uses the same platform layout as related modules. Continuous output capability reaches 40 A, which is the current available to a connected motor during rated operation. If room temperature rises, continuous output can be sustained up to a derated ceiling of +55 °C. During transport or storage, the unit can withstand temperatures from -30 to +85 °C, allowing use of common unconditioned warehouse spaces. The specified ambient range supports normal industrial installation when the controller is mounted in a ventilated enclosure.
