The F4 COMBIVERT Frequency Inverters series is a KEB drive platform built around a DC-link, pulse-width-modulated inverter design for stepless speed control of three-phase AC motors.
Across the series, the units were offered in 230 V and 400 V classes with power coverage extending from 0.75 kW up to 160 kW, depending on the housing size and configuration. The platform uses IGBT power circuitry and includes monitoring and protective functions for current, voltage, temperature, overload, and earth-fault-related operating conditions. Depending on the control version, the series also provides programmable digital and analog inputs and outputs, multiple parameter sets, relay outputs, user-defined operator menus, and functions such as DC braking, slip compensation, speed search, PI control, and energy-saving operation. The range was also available with selectable switching frequencies and option combinations such as braking transistors and filters, allowing the inverter to be matched to different installation and application requirements.
