Product Description:
The 15.F4.CBE-4A02 is a frequency inverter manufactured by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It converts fixed-frequency AC power into a variable-frequency output for controlling the speed and torque of compatible induction motors. This control method supports conveyors, pumps, fans, and other automated equipment while eliminating the need for mechanical speed-control devices. The compact design also allows the inverter to fit within confined control cabinets where mounting space is limited.
The power section is designed for a three-phase supply and accepts conductors with cross-sectional areas up to 6 mm². Its E-size housing uses the standardized mounting pattern associated with the series. The inverter provides a continuous output of 17 kVA and has a nominal input current requirement of 26.5 A. It operates within an ambient temperature range of -10 to 45 °C. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, which protects against contact with hazardous internal components but does not provide protection against water. Eight selectable parameter sets allow the drive to accommodate different application profiles. Its compact control mode limits the available menu structure to essential functions for straightforward configuration.
The motor output is rated at 11 kW, and the inverter supplies a nominal load current of 24 A. Circuit protection can use a fuse rated up to 35 A. The unit can operate at up to 95% relative humidity without condensation, making it suitable for humid production areas when installed in an appropriate control panel. The control interface includes two analog inputs, four digital inputs, one analog output, and one digital output for exchanging commands and status signals with external control equipment. The analog output can transmit process feedback to a supervisory PLC, while the digital output can provide fault or operating-state signals. Two relay outputs allow the inverter to control external contactors, brakes, or interlocking circuits directly. A shielded motor cable may extend up to 100 m, providing flexibility when the motor is installed away from the control cabinet.
