Product Description:
The 17.F4.C0H-3440 is an AC frequency inverter produced by KEB and supplied through the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. As a COMBIVERT F4 drive, it provides variable-speed regulation for three-phase induction motors used in conveyors, pumps, and general machinery. The drive uses Compact control mode, which provides essential regulation functions in a small footprint. It is supplied without integrated accessories, allowing external braking or filtering devices to be selected for the application.
This model connects directly to a three-phase industrial power supply with an accepted voltage range of 305–500 V. Within that range, it can operate motors rated for up to 18.5 kW while delivering a nominal output current of 42 A. The silicon switches operate at a rated carrier frequency of 8 kHz, which helps reduce motor noise and provides finer current control. At its rated load, the inverter supplies 29 kVA of apparent power for medium-sized production equipment. A standard fieldbus option supports basic serial communication without requiring an additional protocol board. The control logic, insulated-gate bipolar transistor switching circuits, and thermal monitoring components are contained in the H-size housing used for this power range.
The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, so the inverter must be installed inside a suitable switchgear cabinet. This rating provides basic protection against accidental contact with internal components and the entry of larger solid objects, but it does not provide protection against water. The permitted operating temperature range is -10 to 45 °C, allowing the unit to function in typical industrial cabinets when adequate ventilation is available. The inverter can tolerate relative humidity levels of up to 95% when condensation is prevented. Its H-size frame belongs to the 400 V class, making it compatible with common 380–415 V distribution systems and motors with corresponding insulation levels.
