The 15.F4.CNE-A001 frequency inverter is produced by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. Designed for cabinet installation, it converts a fixed three-phase mains supply into a variable amplitude and frequency output that regulates squirrel-cage induction motors. In automated conveyors, mixers, and process pumps, the unit adjusts motor speed, improves energy usage, and provides programmable acceleration profiles while offering standard protective functions such as overcurrent shutdown and undervoltage ride-through capability.
On the supply side, the unit accepts a three-phase AC input at standard line frequencies of 50/60 Hz, allowing installation on either commercial or industrial power systems. Its apparent power capacity is 17 kVA, meaning the converter can deliver that volt-amp level continuously without thermal derating. The power stage is wired for 3PH AC on both the line and motor terminals, and under low-line conditions between 305 V and 440 V it draws 26.5 A while providing 24.0 A to the load. When rated for a 15 HP motor, the control algorithm can raise output frequency up to 409 Hz, enabling oversynchronous operation for high-speed spindles or blowers beyond base speed. These values describe the electrical operating range for drive selection and cable sizing.
At the upper supply range, the drive accepts input voltages between 460 V and 500 V, drawing 23.1 A and delivering 21.0 A on the motor side. With these conditions, the inverter can present up to 480 V line-to-line at the output terminals, letting 460 V class motors operate near their rated flux without saturation. When service voltage drifts toward the 305 V minimum, the control loop automatically extends pulse width to maintain torque while keeping current within safe thermal limits. This flexibility supports use across facilities that alternate between 400 V and 480 V mains because no hardware changes are required.
