In automated material-handling cells or process systems, the inverter allows a controller to adjust motor torque and speed according to real-time load requirements, reducing energy consumption and mechanical stress. The control side accepts a differential analog command of ±10 V, buffered by an input resistance of 40 kΩ to protect upstream signal sources from excessive loading. Four programmable digital inputs supplement the analog channel and can be assigned to functions such as starting, stopping, or selecting preset values. An integral relay can switch 30 VDC at 1 A for status signaling to external control equipment. Power processing is handled by an IGBT bridge that delivers up to 80 kVA of apparent power and a nominal output current of 115 A. Conduction and switching losses are moderated through operation at a carrier frequency of 4 kHz. To accommodate heavy-gauge feeders, the terminal block accepts power conductors with a cross-sectional area of 50 mm². For larger machinery, the inverter can control motors rated up to 55 kW. Short process surges are supported because the output stage tolerates 172.5 A for limited intervals. The overcurrent trip threshold is 207 A, protecting the power stage when phase current reaches that level. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, so the unit requires installation inside a clean control panel that prevents exposure to moisture and small contaminants. A built-in InterBus interface provides cyclic fieldbus communication with the main PLC. This connection allows the controller to send operating commands, adjust available parameters, and receive inverter status or fault information through the automation network.
