Product Description:
The 10.F4.C3D-3280 is a frequency inverter produced by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. This COMBIVERT F4 unit conditions three-phase mains power and delivers a variable-frequency, variable-voltage output that lets automation controllers regulate induction motor speed without mechanical throttles. In production lines, pumps, or conveyors, the inverter serves as the interface between the plant supply and a 230-volt-class motor, converting fixed utility frequency into the precise waveform commanded by the drive system.
The power stage belongs to the 230 V class, accepting three-phase input voltages from 180 to 260 V AC. A nominal input current of 14 A is expected under rated load, and the inverter supplies an output current of 10 A with up to 2.2 kW of mechanical shaft power. The internal IGBT bridge is modulated at a carrier frequency of 16 kHz, which lowers audible noise and maintains torque control. An integrated filter and braking transistor manage regenerated energy, and the Compact control mode matches the Standard fieldbus option used for networked motion. Wiring uses 2.5 mm² line conductors, and the enclosure has an IP20 rating for installation inside a protected control cabinet.
The inverter provides a continuous apparent output of 4 kVA and requires a line fuse rated no higher than 20 A. During acceleration or deceleration, it can withstand a short-term current surge of 18 A. External braking elements must have a resistance of at least 28 Ω, while a typical 68 Ω resistor provides balanced energy absorption. The permitted operating temperature ranges from -10 °C to 45 °C, with relative humidity up to 95% under noncondensing conditions. The Compact D-size housing measures 240 mm high, 90 mm wide, and 250 mm deep, helping conserve panel space. Three-phase mains wiring and the dedicated motor output connect through terminals on the front face for direct access during installation.
