The 00.F4.010-3009 is a plug-in data handling card manufactured by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. Within a drive system, it acts as a removable memory and operator interface, storing configuration sets and presenting operating data on the built-in display. By moving this card between inverters, users can copy parameters without a PC and transfer saved settings between compatible drives during setup or routine service.

After insertion, the card immediately shows the currently selected communication speed for 5 s, giving clear confirmation of the active RS-232 baud rate before further actions. Although all parameters reside in volatile RAM, a supervisory routine keeps the data available through power cycles; this behavior is described as Permanent storage persistence. Because the unit uses a Plug-In mounting format, it can be added or removed without tools while the inverter is isolated, eliminating control-cable rewiring. Entire parameter lists can be transferred in both directions through the Upload And Download function, enabling a full backup or restore in less than a minute even on large drive files within the same drive platform.

The card communicates over two selectable speeds, 9600 baud for legacy service tools and 19200 baud when faster transfers are required, and the chosen rate is negotiated automatically with COMBIVERT F4/S4 inverters. When downloading parameters from the operator to the drive, it switches into OP_FU mode, while copying data in the opposite direction engages FU_OP mode; these states help prevent unintentional overwriting of live settings. Direct connection to F4 or S4 units and confirmed compatibility with the portable digital operator mean that no external computer is necessary. For stand-alone archiving, the module can also exchange data through the COMBICARD system, allowing PC-free management of multiple drive types used in the same installation.
