Product Description:
The 07.F4.S0C-5A00 is a frequency inverter manufactured by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. It receives a fixed-frequency, three-phase power supply and delivers a regulated output that allows a controller to vary the speed and torque of an induction motor. This electronic control method eliminates the need to regulate output through mechanical throttling or similar mechanical devices. The inverter is suitable for automated conveyors, pumps, indexing tables, and small machine tools that require consistent speed control under changing process demands.
The device uses a standard control mode with open-loop voltage-to-frequency characteristics rather than closed-loop vector control. This arrangement is appropriate for straightforward constant-torque applications that do not require encoder feedback from the motor. Communication is provided through a standard fieldbus option, with control connections routed through the drive’s built-in interface instead of a specialized network card. The lack of integrated accessories means that required line reactors, filters, and related components must be installed separately. The power stage supports motors rated up to 0.75 kW, providing capacity for fractional-horsepower equipment and other compact motor-driven machinery. An IP20 enclosure protects against accidental contact with internal components but does not provide protection from water, so the inverter must be mounted inside a clean electrical cabinet.
The inverter can operate at full current within an ambient temperature range of -10 to 45 °C without derating. This range supports installation in many indoor control cabinets, provided that ventilation maintains the surrounding air within the permitted limits. The unit tolerates up to 95% relative humidity without condensation, allowing operation in humid industrial areas when moisture is prevented from collecting on internal surfaces. Adequate cabinet spacing should be maintained around the housing so generated heat can escape and nearby equipment does not obstruct airflow. During washdown periods or other conditions that introduce airborne moisture, the cabinet must remain closed and sufficiently sealed because the inverter housing itself is not designed for direct exposure to water.
