Product Description:
The 13.F4.SED-3410 is a variable-speed drive manufactured by KEB and supplied within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. Classified under the COMBIVERT F4 product type, this inverter converts fixed-frequency line power into a controlled three-phase output. This conversion enables precise speed and torque adjustment for AC motors used in conveyors, mixers, and material-handling systems. Integration with plant control circuits allows the drive to match motor performance to changing process demands across automated equipment. Adjusting output according to the required load can also reduce unnecessary energy consumption during partial-load operation.
The power section accepts a three-phase supply ranging from 305 to 500 V, allowing the inverter to operate on common 400 V industrial networks without derating. When connected to a compatible motor, the drive supports a mechanical power rating of 5.5 kW and an electrical output rating of 8.3 kVA. Continuous stator current is limited to 12 A, which guides cable sizing and overload protection settings. The enclosure has an ingress protection rating of IP20, preventing accidental finger contact with live components while requiring installation inside a suitable cabinet. The compact D-size housing helps conserve mounting space around adjacent control and protection devices. The control mode and fieldbus option are both supplied in standard configurations for connection to the intended automation system.
The inverter switches its output transistors at 2 kHz, balancing harmonic performance with thermal stress on the power stage. Safe operation is supported at ambient temperatures from -10 to 45 °C. The unit also operates at up to 95% relative humidity, provided condensation does not form inside the enclosure. As a member of the 400 V class, the inverter can be paired directly with motors rated for approximately 380 to 415 V. Its front-mounted terminals shorten internal wiring paths during panel assembly and keep conductor access on the visible side of the unit. The small enclosure footprint leaves room in the cabinet for auxiliary devices such as circuit protection, contactors, and control relays.
