Product Description:
KEB manufactures the 13.F4.S1E-4A00 as part of its F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. This unit is an AC frequency inverter intended to regulate induction motor speed and torque in automated machinery. By converting fixed mains power into a variable output, it allows motor performance to be matched to process demand while using the integrated braking transistor to dissipate regenerated energy during deceleration. The product uses the platform’s Standard control type, providing a familiar parameter structure for efficient setup and operation.
The inverter accepts a three-phase supply and can drive motors with a power rating of up to 5.5 kW, making it suitable for midsize pumps, fans, and conveyors. Its IP20 enclosure is intended for installation in a control cabinet where protection against solid objects is required but exposure to liquids is not expected. The housing has an overall depth of 200 mm and a width of 130 mm; these compact dimensions simplify panel layout when multiple drives share the same backplate. A shielded motor cable can extend up to 100 m, allowing the inverter to remain near the controls while the motor is installed on the machine frame. Climatic category 3K3 indicates that the electronics can tolerate typical production-floor temperature fluctuations when operated within the permitted range. Adequate cabinet ventilation should be maintained to support consistent performance under load.
The housing height of 275 mm provides sufficient chassis space for power components while allowing the inverter to fit standard 300 mm cabinet rows. The unit weighs 3.5 kg, which simplifies handling during installation or maintenance. Reliable operation is maintained at sites up to 2000 m above sea level, and the design tolerates relative humidity levels reaching 95% when condensation is prevented. Four mounting holes, each with a diameter of 7 mm, allow direct fastening to a steel panel. The mounting pattern leaves room for cable ducts and ventilation paths, enabling the internal heat sinks to dissipate power losses without external fans.
