Product Description:
The 14.F4.C1E-3440 is a variable-speed AC drive produced by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. The unit converts fixed-frequency three-phase mains power into controlled output voltage and frequency so that induction motors can start smoothly, run at the required speed, and decelerate under closed-loop control in automated machinery. Its architecture includes an internal brake transistor for dynamic energy dissipation, allowing rapid motor braking without external modules. By combining drive and braking functions in one unit, the inverter helps simplify panel layouts in packaging lines, conveyors, and general motion systems.
Nominal performance is based on a 400 V-Class three-phase supply, allowing the converter to draw a rated line current of 18.1 A while delivering an output current of 16.5 A to the motor terminals. At its nominal operating point, the drive supplies 11 kVA of apparent power, and its pulse-width modulation runs at a carrier frequency of 8 kHz, which helps reduce audible noise and smooth torque response. The IP20 housing protects against finger contact and small solid objects, so the device must be installed in a ventilated electrical cabinet. Compliance with EN 61800-3 confirms electromagnetic compatibility, and climatic category 3K3 covers standard factory temperature and humidity conditions.
For application sizing, the inverter can operate motors up to 7.5 kW while remaining within its stated thermal limits. Shielded cable runs may extend to 100 m without derating, supporting low-impedance connections between the cabinet and the machine. Continuous operation is supported up to 2000 m site altitude, above which cooling margins decrease. The input stage can be used with line reactors to limit harmonic content, and the current-controlled output module maintains steady torque from 0 Hz up to nominal frequency.
