The 13.F4.S1D-AM00 is a frequency inverter manufactured by KEB within the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. Designed for control cabinet mounting, the unit processes fixed utility power and generates a variable three-phase output so that automation controllers can command exact motor speed and torque. Electronic conversion replaces mechanical throttling, enables soft starts and stops, and supports closed-loop control in conveyors, centrifugal pumps, and general factory drives. It also helps reduce wear on couplings and driven components during repeated starting cycles.

The control section offers both analog and digital channels. An analog input with an impedance of 56 kΩ accepts 0 to 10 VDC reference signals without loading PLC outputs, while feedback can be provided as 0…1 mA DC or as a buffered voltage signal. Logic terminals are powered from an internal supply rated at +15 VDC / 100 mA max, and command lines recognize levels between 13…30 VDC, matching common sensor outputs. A built-in brake transistor dissipates regenerated energy during deceleration, and a separate +10 VDC / 4 mA potentiometer supply simplifies local speed adjustment. These signal ranges let the inverter accept setpoints from PLC analog cards and switch commands from standard industrial sensors.

The inverter can deliver up to 5.5 kW of mechanical output, supported by an electrical rating of 8.3 kVA. Compatibility with 50/60 ±2 Hz mains, an operating range of -10 to 45 °C, and storage down to -25 °C support transport and normal industrial use. Internal coatings allow continuous duty at ambient humidity up to 95% noncondensing, while the housing meets the IP20 protection class for enclosed-panel use. Panel installation helps shield the electronics from direct contact, and surrounding enclosure airflow can carry heat away from the drive.
