Product Description:
The 10.F4.F3D-4R01 frequency inverter is produced by KEB for the F4 Combivert Frequency Inverters series. Designed for cabinet installation, the D-style housing encloses power electronics that transform a constant three-phase supply into a variable voltage and frequency for precision motor control. Field-oriented regulation and an internal brake transistor give the device closed-loop torque response as well as controlled energy dissipation during deceleration, making it suitable for conveyors, pumps, and other automated loads that demand stable speed under changing process conditions.
This inverter draws an input current of 6.4 A from a three-phase mains network and is protected by a mains fuse rated at 10 A. Once converted, it can deliver a rated output of 5.8 A while maintaining a continuous apparent power of 4 kVA. The input side must be a balanced 3-Phase system; the same topology is provided on the output so compatible motors connect without phase adapters. An integral RFI filter suppresses conducted emissions, and IP20 finger-safe construction—identified in the data set as IP20—limits ingress of solid objects. Internal PTC evaluation is present so the drive can react to a motor-mounted temperature sensor and prevent overload.
Transient overload capacity is supported by a peak current of 10.4 A for up to 30 seconds, allowing the drive to accelerate high-inertia loads without nuisance trips. The unit supports motors up to 2.2 kW mechanical rating, and its closed-loop encoder algorithms resolve speed changes down to 0.5 rpm, which is valuable for positioning tasks. A DIN-rail friendly D-housing keeps airflow paths clear, and the required mains protection is a 10 A fuse, coordinating with the internal brake transistor and filter to maintain safe operation during rapid starts, stops, and thermal events.
